Lessons are available both in-person (Melbourne) and online.
My focus is not just on teaching pieces or techniques, but on developing fluency in the language of music — the ability to understand, hear, and express musical ideas naturally.
I offer in-person lessons for guitar, bass, piano, and drums.
Rather than approaching music as a system to memorise, I treat it as a language to be understood and spoken. The goal is to move beyond imitation, and towards genuine expression — where ideas can be heard, interpreted, and developed freely.
Lessons are adapted to each student, but generally focus on:
- Developing musical fluency
- Improvisation and phrasing
- Composition and creativity
- Understanding structure and expression
Whether you're a complete beginner or already experienced, the aim is the same — to build the ability to engage with music directly, rather than relying on rigid patterns or habits.
